Haywood Mobley, a pupil in the fourth grade should have been in cluded in last month's list. Local Man Badly Injured When Car Turns Over Clyde D. Anderson, local man and an employee of the Moss Planing Mill, Washington, was painfully bruised but not seriously hurt last Saturday evening when his car turned over several times with him on the Washington road just this I side of the Beaufort-Martin line. Forced off the road by a large truck Mr. Anderson started to apply the brakes and his foot slipped off the ! pedal and mashed the accelerator. The car was wrecked. * Bear Grass Team Wins Two From Farm Life Farm Life's baseball team has bowed twice to the strong Bear Grass nine so far this season, the high school lads from the Bear Grass Township capital turning back their opponents, 15 to 10, in the first game and annexing the second by a score of 5 to 4. The first game was full of errors, a report stated. Roberson, with an average of .675, J. Rawls, an even .600, and E. Rawls, with a rating of .570, are leading the Bear team at bat. Young School Girl Badly Burned at Bear Grass ?? Accidentally burned when some phosphorus spattered on her leg and hand, Rose Bowen, young Bear Grass school girl, was reported to day to be rapidly recovering. The burns, while painful, are not con sidered serious. According to reports reaching here, several boys were cleaning a chemical laboratory in the school and they accidentally threw the chemical out the window and burn ed the girl.
