A Thursday Night Book Club The last two meetings of the Thurs day Night Book Club were as fol lows r The meeting of February 23 was held at the home of Miss Mattie Angel with Mrs. Gaston Curtis as leader. The book chosen for study '-was "Dusty Answer" by Rosamond "Lehmann, which is one of the out standing novels of the new year. "This book was discussed and critised from various angles and representa tive passages were read from the book by Mrs. Curtis. A sketch of the life of Rosamond Lehmann was given and several notable reviews of "Dusty Answer" were read. At the conclusion of the program a delicious salad course with coffee jwas served by Miss Angel. The meeting of March 8 was, held "at the home of the club's president, Miss Annie Will Siler, with Miss :Ruth Benjamin as hostess. A play, "In Abraham's Bosom" by Paul Green, ;had been chosen for heading -and -dis- - iCttssion. "in Abraham's Bc-.j .ni" was , the, ten yfliousand dollar Pulitzer prize . play for 1927.' n addition to this it is of especial interest to North Carolinians because of the fact that . its writer is a- native of North , Carolina and was a student at the University. The remains were interred at Bethel church .March 13, Rev. J. II. Strick land preaching the funeral oration. i The deceased is survived by hi father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. 3. M. Horn; two brothers, Fred, of Charlotte, N. C, and Troy, of New- port News, Va., and four sisters, Mrs. P. B. Marcus and Miss Bessie Horn, of Richmond, Va., and Misses Lillie and Edith, of Franklin.
