were visiting Mrs. A. A. 'Mashburn.
Mr. and Mrs. C. N. Jones and four
young children went to Hayesville to
visit Mr and Mrs. Kel Lcdford.
Mr. W. A. Keener is at home after
finishing his contract, at Fontana.
Mr. F. E. Mashburn took some
sheep to the Highlands market Fri
day. On the eighth of this month Wen
del Keener delivered 80 bushels of
beans to the cannery at Franklin.
Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Moses and lit
tle son, David, attended the singing
convention at Cowetta on Sunday.

Patterson.
Mrs. Hollis Patterson has been very
sick for the past few days, but is im
proving now.

Garland visited Mr. Buchanan's broth
er, Mr. Cling Buchanan, in Chechero,
Saturday and Sunday.

made a business trip to Hazel creek
and Fontana on Monday of last week
returning home Tuesday.
A contract has been let to Mr. Ed
Cruse for the purpose of delivering
carloads of acid wood to the Cham
pion Fibre company and tan bark to
the Andrews Tannery from the Black
gap. A large force of men are now
at work under Mr. Cruse.

ness triy to Franklin and returned
last Friday evening.
