BO of Mars BUI KFD 1, died Sunday, February 8, 1956 at 1:30, p. nW in his home after brief illness. Funeral services were held Tues day at 2 p. m., in Little Creek First Bapust Church. The Rev. Frank Blalock and the Rev. Jesse Watts of ficiated, and burial was in Metcalf Cemetery on Little Creek. Pallbearers were nephews and rrandsous. Surviving are the widow. Mrs. Ma ry -Metcalf English; six daughters, Mrs. Sherman Dill, Mrs. M. B Hampton, and Mrs. Temple Shook, of Mars Hill. Mrs. T. A. Moore of Warren Ohio, Mrs. Vernon Luther of Phalanx Station, Ohio, and Mrs. freeman Jones of Emporia, Va. Also seven sons, Herman H., of Charlotte, M. R., M. L., and Lewis of Warrenton, Ohio, Carl W. Colum- bia. S. C. Luther of Arlington. Va. anoTteonard of Estacada, Ore.; 2f. grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer, a native and lifelong resident of Madison County, and a member of Little Creak First Baptist Church.
