Beef cattle is an important
part of Madison County's Econo
my amounting to $1,061,500.00 of
income in 1969. Madison County
is ideally suited to this enter
prise. The Extension Service
seeks to increase interest among1
young people in these animals and
this fat stock project offers an
opportunity for them to learn in
a practical way about Beef Cat
tie. More young, people are en
couraged to grow out fat stock
animals and to participate in the
show and sale held annually.
