C. i I ssr: I it Recreational Program Has Full Week's Schedule The recreational Drotr -am of the Community Council has a full pro gram for the week under tne direc tion df W. A. Tenney at the Way nesville Armory. The schedule calls for the fol lowing: Monday night the Dayton Rubber Plant men practiced bas ketball; Monday evening the Cut Role TVnartment of the A. C. Law rence Leather Company had a party at the armory, with square danc ing and games directed by Mr. Tenney. On Tuesday afternoon the Junior fiirl Spouts held their regular meet ing, which was followed by games and setting up exercises. On Tuesday night the Wellco Girls and The Wellco men held basketball practice. On Wednesday evening the Sen ior Service Girl Scouts held their regular meeting which was follow- d bv a recreational program under the direction of Mr. Tenney. Tonight at 7:00 o'clock the Day ton Girls will havs basketball practice. On Friday night the Dayton Rub ber Dlant men will practice basket ball, starting at 7 o'clock. On Friday evening after the foot ball game at the high school stad ium the Senior Service Girl Scouts will give a party and the guest list will include the members of the football teams of Waynesville and Canton. At Camp Claiborne If s L I afV Is MR. AND MRS. J. L. KIRK PATRICK, of Clyde, R. F. D. No. 1, have five sons in the service. They are: Robert L. Kirkpatfick, chief petty officer, who enlisted in the Navy on July 26, 1926. He has served in variius areas of the world and is now in the Pacific waters. James E. Kirkpatrick, first class torpedo M., enlisted in the navy in November, 1937. He is a grad uate of the Fines Creek high school. He served in the Sicilian campaign and has also served in the Pacific war theatre. Pfc. Paul W. Kirkpatrick was inducted in the service on Novem ber 27, 1941, and has served in several war zones since then. From the latter he was sent to Miami Beach, where he is now stationed. He was a farmer before entering the service. Lewis R. Kirkpatrick, seaman first class, enlisted in the Navy on December 27, 1943. He took his boot training at Bainbridge, Md., and from there was sent to Norfolk, Va. From the latter he was sent to New York and since then has served in the African and South American areas. Before entering the service he was engaged n farming in the Fines Creek section of the county. PVT. ROBERT LEDFORD, son of Mr. andvMrs. Cleorge N. Led ford of Hazelwood, is now station ed at Camp Claiborne, La. Pvt. Ledford entered the service on August 21, of this year and at the time was employed by the Unagusta Manufacturing Com pany. He formerly held a posi tion in Newport News, Va. While he is in the service his wife and young son are residing with her parents in Richmond, Va. Senior Service Girl Scouts Have Party At Armory Friday Evening The Senior Service Girl Scouts were hostesses on Fridnv evenino- of a party held in the Service rooms at the Armory, with W. E. Tenney in charcre of the nrocram for the evening, which consisted of games ana square dancing, serving as chaperones for the party were Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Wagenfeld and Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Buchanan. Around sixty guests enjoyed the hospitality of the Senior Scouts.
