Joint Hostesses Have Party For B r i d e -.E 1 e c t Mrs. Virgil Smith and Mrs Charlie Woodard were joint host esses of a dessert bridge given at the home of Mrs. Smith on Wed nesday afternoon honoring Miss Jane Kluttz, bride-elect. Fall flowers were used in decor ating and the tables at which the guests were seated held low ar rangements of gladioli centered with lighted white candles. Four tables were assembled for the games. High score prizes went to Mrs. Harry Lee Liner, Jr., and Mrs. William Dover and low score gifts to Mrs. Jim Milner and Miss Edna Summerrow. The honor guest was presented a gift of crystal. Jaycees Honor Miss Kluttz And Mr. Burgin The members of the Waynesville Junior Chamber t Commerce en tertained their wives and a group of friend- at dinner at the Sky. land Tea Room on Monday evening in honor of Miss Jane Kluttz and Lester Burgin Jr.. whose marriage will take place on Sunday after noon. Mr Burgin is a member of the Jaycees, Guests were seated at a U-shaped table which was decorated with vases of white chrysanthemums and lighted white tapers. Ferguson was hostess for the November meeting of the Haywood chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy on Friday afternoon. Mrs. John M. Harden Howell was the guest speaker and reviewed "The Lite of Judge Walter Clark" by Brooks. During the business session the members voted to make a contribu tion to the J. E. B. Stuart Memor ial window in the Richmond church, which is being sponsored by the general organization. The president apopinted Mrs. Nobel Garrett as chairman of flags; Mrs. L. M. Kllllan, chairman of credentials; Mrs. T. L. Bram lett, chairman of courtesy, and Mrs. J. Harden Howell, chairman of magazine subscriptions, each to serve during the coming year. The members voted to join other local groups in the observance of Armistice Day. Mrs. Frank Fer guson was named chairman of a committee to confer with W. C Allen on historical data. Meet Mrs. Frank Kinsey will be host ess for the November meeting of the Dorcas Bell Love Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution at her home on the Pigeon Road this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.
