Fokia enmety coming to the Siiand Theatre Tuesday, Wednesday ad Thrsday. 'Champagne For Caesar Full of Fun , . - . . No doubt tbout it. "Champagne for Caesar," the Harry M, Popkin production which Is coming to the Strand Theatre Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday through United Artists release, is one of the most rollicking, bois terous and wittiest comedies to come to the screen in years. Hans Jacoby and Fred Brady neve fashioned a film story which. is well-nigh perfect for laughs. They take as their target radio and television "giveaway" shows and proceed to throw non-poisonous darts. The kernel of the story is a situ ation wherein an infallible charac ter named Beauregard Bottoinley gets en a double-or-nothing-type quiz program and promptly runs the;jackpot up to $40,000,000. The program s sponsor, a soap tycoon named Waters, is thereby faced with complete ruin. His efforts to prevent the loss of his business in clude the use of a beautiful siren sent to seek out Bottomlej s weak spot, an approach by the quiz show's m.e. to win the confidence of the savant's sister and various other desperate means. Characteristically expert, too, is the performance of Celeste Holm as the beautiful siren. Like Mr. Colman, an Academy Award win-, ner, Miss Holm gets every bit of humor out of her roll. Take this reviewer's word for it: "Champagne for Caesar" is down right good fun. C<.1AH A-. il ?. l Motes CILESTEIIOIU vip:cfiTF:c2 . ART IWKttTTfR .
