Turnley presided and Mrs. A. -M. Williams led the devotionals. Mrs. H. R. Hipp taught the Bible Study. The hostess served chicken salad sandwiches, wafers and punch. V Farrior-Thompson Troth Is Announced It will be a September wedding for a very charming Columbian -- - Amelia Archer Farrior, daugh ter of Dr. and Mrs. J. W. Farrior of Warsaw. She is to wed Capt. Elmer Cook "Tommy" Thompson, of Seattle, Wash., and Moody Fields Valdosta, Ga. I The bride-elect was graduated from Peace Junior College, Ral eigh, and from Winthrop College in 1940. At college she was active in many campus activities. Her mother, before her marriage, was the former Mary Moore Sloan of Garland. Capt. Thompson returned to the States last July after serving 18 months in the China-India-Burma theater. He completed 63 missions and was awarded the Distinguish ed Flying Cross and the Air Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters. After being stationed for 10 months at the Columbia Army Air base, as an instructor and member of the standardization board, he was sent to his present location as president of the instrument board there. He ! went into the Army in 1942 and received his wings at Williams Field, Ariz. The Farrior-Thompson wedding Is to take place on Sept 8th in the Warsaw Presbyterian church.
