Apple Orchard is stte of finger painting show Miss' Ruth Shaw, originator of modern finger painting, will hold an exhibit of her own work and that of some of her students at her home here Saturday. The exhibit will be set up in an apple orchard at Miss Shaw’s home on Estes Drive. In case of rain, the* exhibit will be post poned and held the following Sat urday, May 20. Miss Shaw holds a position with the University School of Medi cine Department of Psychiatry, where she teaches finger paint ing to patients. She also has two weekly programs over the Uni versity television station, WUNC TV, Channel 4. 65 prochicert of grain receive over $8,000 in advance payments The Orange County ASC Office has accepted 311 feed grain acre age reports from farmers in Or ange County which makes them eligible to file an agreement to divert Corn and/or grain sorghum from production during the 1961 programyear. Of tis number, 65 producers have signed agree ments to divert 597.9 acres of corn and 81.3 acres of grain sorghum from production in 1961. Advance payments, which are being made to producers as the agreements are filed, for these 65 producers totaled $8,288.68. This payment represents a frac tion less than 50 per cent of the total payment due on these farms. The remainder of the pay ment due will be made when performance on the farm has been established. In order to participate in the 1961 program, producers must file aq acreage report for all crops grown on the farm in 1959 and 1960 not later than May 22. Producers who have been noti fied of their feed grain base and payment rates per acre must file their intention to participate in the program not later than June 1. Integration fellowship annual meeting is set The Chapel Hill Fellowship for School Integ^tion will hold its annuals meeting next Thursday, May 18, at 8 p.m. at the Chapel of the Cross, Episcopal Church. The public is invtted to attend the short business meeting, when new officers will be chosen, and com mittee reports will be given.
