This is the annual season for abandoning autos -l; right after the deadline for display of 1964 license plates: Law enforcement officers note that some, people leave perfectly good cars on the street simply because they can’t afford .to buy plates at, the mo ment. When this occurs the autos are impounded under a 48-hour parking limit ordinance and put in garage storage at the owner’s expense.
