Page 2 WANDS-FOSTER VOWS ARE SAID AT MOCKSVILLE Oak Grove Methodist Church 111 MocksviUe was the setting Saturday afternoae for the wedding of Miss Sarah A mm Foster and William Ross Wands Jr. The Rev. Ralph Eanes performed the 5:00 PJi ceremony. Mrs. Dick Drtun provided a program of organ music. The bride, daughter of Mr. Jtod Mrs. Ernie Foster of MocksviUe, was presented at the 1964 Sub-Deb Ball at Lex ington. She was graduated from Wingate CoUege and is now a senior at Catawba Col lege. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. WUliam Ross Wands of Cooleemee. He was graduated from Wingate Col lege and is now attending North CaroUna State Univer sity at Raleigh .where he is a member of Sigma Phi Epsi lon fraternity. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a floor-length gown of antique satin with scalloped bell sleeves made by her mo ther. Candlelight Chantilly lace covered the bodice and formed the train Her shoulder length veil of silk iUusion fell from a tiara of seed pearls. She carried a prayer book tapped with an orchid. Miss Ann Cassidy of Mocks viUe was maid of honor and Mrs. Bill Foster, also of Mocks viUe, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jane Wands of Boston, Mass., Miss Jane Howard, Mrs. Jean Clea ry and Miss Barbara Smoot, all of MocksviUe. All the at tendants wore floor-length gowns of moss green and maize crepe with matching head pieces. They carried cascades of daisies. The bridegroom had his fa ther as best man. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jo seph Stroup of Gastonia. She was graduated from Ashley High School in Gastonia and Western Carolina College, where she was vice president of Zeta Tau Alpha sorority. She will teach at Belmont Junior High School in Belmont in the fall. The bridegroom, son of Mr. I and Mrs. Jack Ridenhour of j Coolcemee, was graduated from Davie County High School and Western Carolina College, where he was vice president of the Theta Xi Ftarternity. He will begin teaching industrial arts at Bel mont Junior High School in the fall. The bride, who was giwen in marriage by her fa ther, wore a floor-length gown of candlelight peau de soie with an empire waist. It* long-sleeved jacket and chapel train were of candle light lace. Her shoulder-length veil of silk illusion fell from • headpiece of silk organza roses. She carried a white prayer book topped with an orchid. Miss Sally Stroup of Gas tonia, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a floor-length dress of yellow linen with empire waist and carried a cascade of yellow and white shasta daisies.
