Refreshments were served from the dining-room table, which was covered with an imported lace cloth and cen tered with an arrangement of lark spur and daisies flanked by white candles. Mrs. T. E. Using a map, Mrs. Moore pointed out the strategic position of this little country formed in 1918—a Kingdom of the Serbs, Croates and .Slovenes, and renamed Yugoslavia (1929). She gave a con cise account of the reasons and ef forts of this nation in relation to the war; the German pact of 1941; the in ternal betrayals and atrocities; their inability to-oppose German invasion; their resistance under the command of Tito and pointed out this had held fifteen to thirty Axis divisions in Yugoslavia as well as weld together the Yukoslav people Her papei closed with a brief summary Sf the 1IA. The meeting was opened with scripture and prayer. The program topic, taken from the Guild Book "Good News," was developed by Mrs. C. S. Hotchkiss.
