The funmil of the North Carolirfa statesman, affectionately referred to as the “Gentleman from Scotland Neck,” by his friends in Congress, will take place in the Kitchin residence at five o’clock tomorrow afternoon. He will be buried in the family plot at the Baptist cemetery one mile from here near the grave of his father, who once represented his district in Congress. When the motor hearse bearing the l>ody of the former Democratic leader touched the city limits, church bells tolled and the throngs bared their heads as it passed o» its way to the Kitchin home.
