Mr. U. M. Lineberger, of

eight miles southeast of here, in
the Catawba neighborhood. Mr.
Lineberger is looking well and
says be is doing well in his
North Carolina home. He had
the misfortune, though, of losing
his wife since he left here, she

o'clock in the office of the Citi
zens . National Bank. About

ent, not from Gastonia alone but
from other towns in the county.
Mr. W. P. Marshall was
chosen chairman and Mr. S. 3.
Shuford secretary oi the meet
ing. A committee composed of
W. T. Rankin, E. P. Wharton,
J. K. Page, and 0. P. Mason,
by request, drafted by-lawa,
which were adopted on presen
tation.
The following were chosen as
directors: S. M. Robinson, G.
M. Gnllick, R. R. Ray, J. O.
White. R. P. Rankin. J. K.
Dixon, C. B. Armstrong, An
drew K. Moore, W. T. Rankin.
After some well received talks
by Messrs. E P. Wharton, of
Greensboro, Hon. O. P. Mason,
of Dallas, and Mr. W. T. Ran
kin for the good of the organi

In the directors’ meeting held
immediately afterwards Mr. W.
T. Rankin was elected President
and Treasurer, Mr. C. B. Arm

hearts. Mrs. J. K. Dixon was
