Gardner It is not too early to be thinking about bedding plants for summer enjoyment. Here is a good list of some of the better varieties: We will begin with the ever-popular petunia and first list the eight varieties that have scored highest ir. our test plots. Peach Blossom - pink, free-flowering grandi flora (large-flowered); Hose Star - compact, uniform, red and white multiflora (many flowered); Coral Cascade - low-growing. compact pink multiflora; Hed Magic - uni form bright red multiflora; Candy Apple - excellent, more floriferous and uniform than Comanche, grundiflora; Blue Danube - double dw urf grandi flora, similar toBlue Lace but lighter in color; Blue Jeans - pleasing light blue grundi flora. lighter in color than Capri; Valentine - excellent dark rose, double grandiflora. These petunia varieties have also scored well in the tests: Blue Moon - dark blue double grundiflora; Cotton Candy - pink double grar.di lloru; Calypso - scarlet and white grandiflora; White Magic - grandiflora; White I ascade - grandiflora; Apple i'lossom - light pink grandi flora; Maytime - light pink grandiflora; Blue Magic - compact grandiflora; Sun burst - light creamy yellow grandiflora; Comanche - dark red multiflora; Paleface - pure white grandiflora.
