Restaurant Ratings <The Hoke County Environmental Health Section has released sanitation ratings of restaurants and food handling establishments covering the last quarter, Oct.-Dec. ?Some establishments were graded twice during the grading period and both ratings are shown here. If an establishment receives a low grade, the owner may call for re-inspection to try and raise the grade. 'A' grade is 90-100 per cent, 'B' grade is 80-90 per cent, and 'C' grade is 70-80 per cent. Civic Service Held Five churches from the Hoke County Civic League came together for the second annual pre-Christmas jervice. The purpose of the gathering was to raise money to help some families of all races with their needs for Christmas. A fellowship breakfast was held Tuesday Dec. 23, at a local restaurant by the ministers and plans were made to disperse the funds of $823.00. Foresters Board Elects Officers , The initial meeting of the State Board of Registration of Foresters, appointed by Governor James E. Holshouser, Jr., elected W.W. Wicks of Mayxville as it* chairman and B.H. Corpening of Asheville as vice-chairman. Other members of the board are Fred White of Durham. Wallace Cawthorne of Wilson, and Paul B. Barrlnger of Weldon. The intention of the registration law passed by the 1975 General Assembly is to benefit and protect the public by improving the stan dards relat<& to the practice of professional forestry. "Before a person may All himself a registered forester, he or she must meet certain requirements and in fact become registered with the State Board of Registration of Fores ters," according to W.W.
