; Clark Reelected Treasurer At its regularly scheduled meet ing Thursday night, the Lumber River Council of Governments elected officers for fiscal vear 1982-83. Returning as chairman for this year is Calvin Haggins. councilman from Fairmont. The vice chairman will be Ms. Sadie Odom. mayor of Gibson, and the treasurer will again be Graham Clark, mayor pro-tem of Haeford. The Board also adopted its Fiscal Year 1983 budget totalling S773. 512. This budget is made up of federal, state and local funds and covers a variety of service areas including Older Adults (Aging). Nutrition. Manpower. Emergency Medical Services, and Local Tech nical Assistance Programs. District officer elections were also held. Hoke County volunteer leaders who attended were Mrs. Janet Hendrix. Sharon English, and Jim Culp. About 20 people from Hoke County attended the event.
