Annual Arts Festival Award Winners Named The Raeford Junior Woman's Club and Raeford Woman's Club held their annual Arts Festival, Monday, January 17th, 19M, at the Raeford United Methodist Church , Entries wtre accepted until 2:00 p.m. when judtes made their final decisions. After a delicious covered dish supper at seven o'clock p.m., the winners were an nounced and awarded certificates of merit. , . As guests that night, the joint clubs welcomed Miss Cheryl Farmer and Miss Tammy Harrell and their coaches, Mrs. Christine Henry and Mrs. Jessie Josie. Miss HarreU and Miss Fanner presented their dramatic interpretations for which they had won first place in the student Arts Festival last week. The first place winners of the Woman's Arts Festival will present their entries in the District Art Festival to be held in Laurinburg in February. Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Harris attended a Farm Bureau meeting in Raleigh Monday. Mrs. Jean Hodges attended the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins football game in Washington, D.C. Satur day. Bridge Mrs. Upchurch Members of the dessert-bridge dub met at the home of Mrs. Tom mie Upchurch last Wednesday afternoon with two visitors, Mrs. Duncan G. McFadyen and Mrs. J.C. McLean. Mrs. W.T. Gibson was awarded the high score prize for members and Mrs. McFadyen, for visitors. Mrs. Howell Mrs. W.L. Howell was hostess to her bridge club on Thursday night of last week. Mrs. M.R. Smith was the only visitor. Those present enjoyed a dessert course upon arrival. At the conclusion of the game Mrs. Bobby Carter was high score winner. Mrs. Currie Mrs. David Scott Currie was hostess to the members of her bridge club on Thursday evening of last week. Mrs. Ransom Baucom was the only visitor . A dessert course was served before the game and snacks and drinks during play. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Baucom, high scorer, Mrs. June Johnson, low, and Mrs. Avery Connell, bingo. Mrs. Jordan Mrs. Faye Jordan entertained the members of her bridge club and two visitors, Mrs. Luke McNeill and Mrs. Wyatt Up church, on Tuesday evening of last week.
