Sisk-Frantz Vows Exchanged In Dillon ? Mr. and Mrs. Jerry L. Sisk Diane Rene Franzt, daughter of Mr. and' Mrs. Ray Bailey of Fay etteville and Jerry L. Sisk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sisk of Rockfish were united in marriage in a double ring ceremony, Satur day, July 30 at 2:00 p.m. in the Wedding Chapel in Dillon, South Carolina. The bride wore a baby blue lace P dress and carried a bridal cascade of spring flowers. Mrs. Anne Willis of Fayetteville attended as matron of honor and Gene McMurray served as the groom's best man. The matron of honor was attired in a pastel pink dress and carried a pink and white bouquet of flowers. The bride's mother wore a mint P green dress and a white corsage. The mother of the groom was at tired in a dress of grape chiffon and also wore a white carnation corsage. Following the wedding, a recep tion was held for the couple at the home of the groom on Myra Road. McRae Reunion ? Held In New York The fifth family reunion of Grady McRae, Sr., was held in El mont, N.Y., July 9, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grady McRae, Jr. Attending the reunion were Mr. and Mrs. William Quick and Mr. and Mrs. Nathaniel Black, Jr., of Charlotte. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd McRae of P Seabrook, Md., Frank McRae, Willie McRae, and Samuel McRae, of Delaware, Md., Mr. and Mrs. William Poore of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Miss Glenda McRae of Raeford. Also in attendance were numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. For Social News ) Call 875-2121 Large white satin bows adorned the entrance to the lawn. The great room was decorated with ar rangements of spring flowers. The dining room table was adorned with a six branch candelabra that also held sweetheart roses, spr ingria, yellow and white daisies and miniature blue carnations. Dianne Green of Kannapolis cut and served the two tier blue and white wedding cake and Miss Cheryl Hathcock presided at the punch bowl. In addition to wedding cake there were finger sandwiches, ham and cheese tidbits, nuts, mints, pickles and olives. The guests signed the register upon entering and goodbyes were said to the bride and groom. The couple will make their home in Fayetteville. Mrs. Merline Weeks, grand mother of the bride, and Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Green of Kannapolis, grandparents of the groom, were among the out-of-town guests who attended. Karen Renee Graham Graham -Purcel I Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lewis Graham, Jr., announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Renee to Anthony Bernard Purcell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lacy Purcell, Sr. A wedding is planned for September 17, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, 3:00 p.m. The Rev. J.W. Graham will officiate. The bride-elect, a 1980 graduate of Hoke County High School, is a nursing student at Sandhills Com munity College. The prospective bridegroom is a 1979 graduate of Hoke County High School and North Carolina Central University. He is employed with the Durham County Sheriff's Department. Birthdays Sandy Lentz Sandy Lentz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Lentz celebrated her birthday last weekend with a slumber party Friday night and birthday party Saturday after noon. Five guests attended the slumber party. Strawberry cake and ice cream punch were served at the Saturday afternoon party. The Rev. Bill Presnell and the Rev. Fletcher Fraley officiated the dou ble ring ceremony. A program of wedding music was presented by pianist Sally Bargo of Atlanta, Ga., organist Gerald Heersma of Laurinburg and soloist Carolyn Cox of Con way, S.C. The bride, escorted by her father, wore an ivory satin gown featuring a fitted bodice with high bridal neckline and long fitted sleeves covered in silk imported Alencon lace accented in bodice back with covered buttons. A full skirt, trimmed at the hem line with matching lace carrying a satin cathedral train, was attached to the gown. She wore a headpiece of ivory seed pearls attached to a headband carrying a cathedral illu sion veiling trimmed with ivory seed pearls. Her bouquet was com prised of white bridal roses cascading with ivy and springria. Mrs. Roger Hannah of Norfolk, Va., served as matron of honor. She wore a peacock blue sleeveless taffeta gown with an off the shoulder ruffle neckline with a fit ted bodice and natural waistline accented with a self tie sash carry ing a full skirt. Elizabeth Hasty of Maxton, served as her sister's maid of honor and was attired like the matron of honor. Sally Sanders of Augusta, Ga., Talmage Robinson of Raleigh, cousin of the bride, Karol McCook of Macon, Ga., sister of the groom, Betsy Jordan of Charlotte, Virginia Schrum of Boston, Mass. and Christie Carrol Benton of Albany, Ga., attended as bridesmaids. They wore identical dresses that matched the gowns of the maid and matron of honor. The groom's father attended as best man. Keven McCook of Macon, Ga., brother of the groom, John Hasty, Jr. or Maxton, brother of the bride, Howard Holleman of Macon, Ga., Thomas Mixon of Macon, Ga., Thomas Gibbons of Macon, Ga., James Hardin of Durham, Roger Hannah of Nor folk, Va. and Thomas McSwain of Macon, Ga., attended as ushers. The bride is a 1978 graduate of Robeson Country Day School and a 1982 graduate of Wesleyan Col lege in Macon, Ga., with a BBA degree in Marketing Management. She is employed by Pace Henderson Finance Company in Maxton as a marketing represen tative. The groom is a 1975 graduate of Alliance Acadamy, Quito, Ecuador High School and a 1979 graduate of Asbury College in Wilmore, Ky., with a BA degree in Business. He is employed as a sales representative for the Pallet Division of Thompson Hardwoods in Smyrna, Ga. McCaskill, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carter, aunt and uncle of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hoffman, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mallard, and Miss Patsy Hamer. The guest register was attended by Miss Marian Daniel of Thomaston, Ga., Miss Vickie Burge of Lumberton, Mrs. Laura Thomas and Miss Elizabeth Hoyl, both of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and great aunts of the bride. REHEARSAL DINNER The McCook-Hasty wedding party and out-of-town friends were entertained at a rehearsal dinner on Friday night at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Lloyd C. McCaskill. Hosts for the occasion were Mr. and Mrs. James Roy McCook, parents of the groom, Mr; and Mrs. Rogger Hannah, groomsman and matron of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Willis, and Dr. And Mrs. Lloyd C. McCaskill. After toasts to the bride and groom, guests were served a three course dinner at tables arranged in the courtyard and throughout the home. POOL PARTY Mr. and Mrs. Leon Owens hosted a pool party Friday, August 19, immediately following the rehearsal dinner, at the Scotch Meadows Country Club. The party was given for attendants and friends of the bride and groom. OPEN HOUSE BREAKFAST An informal wedding breakfast was held at the home of Miss Katherine Carter and Henry Carter on Saturday morning for the wed ding party, out-of-town guests and their host and hostesses. Hostesses for the occasion were Miss Katherine Carter, Mrs. Patrick Floyd, Mrs. J. D. Hagler, Mrs. Don Mallard, Mrs. Lex Moser, Mrs. Irvin McConeghy, Mrs. David Singley, Mrs. Gus Speros, Mrs. Wiley Steed, and Mrs. Ben White. BRIDESMAID'S LUNCHEON A bridesmaids' luncheon was held at the Pinehurst Hotel at 1:00 p.m. The luncheon hostesses were Mrs. T. B. Upchurch, Mrs. Eugene Carter, Mrs. James R. Sanders, Miss Sally Sanders, Miss Elizabeth Hoyl, and Mrs. Laura Thomas. Bridesmaids were presented gifts by the bride.
