Parker has been named Weave Mill Superintendent for the Raeford Plant of the Menswear Division of Burlington Industries, Inc. He is a native of Jacksonville. He joined Burlington as a Manufacturing Trainee in 1974 at the St. Pauls Plant in St. Pauls, and was reassigned that same year to the Lakedale Plant in Fayet teville as Supervisor in the Twisting Department. In 1975 he was transferred to the Clarksville Finishing Plant in Clarksville, Virginia, where he was assigned supervisory positions in the Dyeing, Wet Finishing and Dry Finishing Departments. In 1976 he was promoted to Dry Finishing Department Manager and in 1977 was reassigned as Dye ing Department Manager. In 1978 he was promoted to Superintendent of Dyeing and later reassigned as Superintendent of Finishing and Technical Superintendent. In 1982 he was transferred to the Oxford Plant where he held Dosi-, tions as Superintendent of Wind-^ ing/Twisting and Superintendent of Preparation/Spinning. On December 1 , he was transfer red to the Raeford Plant and assigned his present position as Weave Mill Superintendent. Parker graduated in 1973 from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Operations. He is married to the former Brenda Williamson of Raleigh, North Carolina. They have two daughters. Ezzell Returns From Grenada Navy Lt. Richard L. Ezzell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Jones of Route 2, Raeford, recently par ticipated in Operation Urgent Fury on Grenada. He is an officer assigned to Atlantic Fleet Audio Visual Com mand, Naval Air Station Norfolk, Virginia. Urgent Fury was a joint opera tion of the United States and the organization of Eastern Caribbean States to rescue American citizens, restore order and protect lives and property on Grenada as well as en courage in the formation of a democratic government on the island. Elements of the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy, Army, and Air Force operated in unison during the operation. Hoke Farmers Admin. Changes Office Hours Loyd A. Robinson, County Supervisor for the Hoke County Farmers Administration has an nounced new office hours for supervisory personnel to become effective as of January 4. During these new hours, in dividuals seeking assistance may see supervisory personnel without an appointment on a first come first served basis. The new office hours will be as follows: Mondays 8:00 a.m. -noon, Loyd A. Robinson, County Super visor; Wednesdays 8:00 a.m. noon, Patricia A. Siewart, Assis tant County Supervisor; Fridays 8:00 a.m. -noon, Loyd A. Robin son, County Supervisor. Appointments will be necessary to see supervisory personnel other than the above hours. The Farmers Home Administra tion itself remains open to the public Monday thru Friday, 8:00 a.m. -4 p.m., as usual, except for Wednesdays the office will close at $ 3 p.m. for Staff Conference. Our office is located at 502 E. Edinborough Avenue, Raeford.
