FmHa gives exclusive ftp repossessed houses Twenty three Hoke County residences which were repossessed by the Fanner's Home Ad ministration (FmHa) have been turned over to a county broker for resale, a spokesman said Tuesday. An exclusive listing has been given to W.E. Carter Realty for the resale of the dwellings, FmHa county manager A1 Robinson said. The Raeford firm is owned and operated by Gene Carter. Burlington grants 41 cent dividend The Board of Directors of Burl ington Industries, Inc., declared the quarterly dividend of 41 cents per share, payable September 1, 1984 to shareholders of record at the close of business July 30, 1984. Heilig-Meyers declares dividend Heilig-Meyers Company, the Richmond based home furnishings chain, which operates a store in Raeford, has declared its regular quarterly dividend of nine cents per share. The dividend is payable on August 3, 1984 to stockholders of record on July 25, 1984. Carter was given the listings ex clusively to cover the cost of adver tising the homes and so that they may be placed in the multiple listing service, Robinson said. Although Carter Realty has the exclusive listings on the FmHa homes, other brokers are being en couraged to co-broker the sales. FmHa is offering financing on the homes, which have all been refurbished. Small business workshops sponsored by Sandhills A consortium of area institutions-including the San dhills Area Chamber of Com merce, Sandhills Community Col lege, the Small Business Ad ministration, and SCORE (the Ser vice Corps of Retired Executives)~have joined forces to sponsor two Small Business Management Workshops during the month of August. The workshops are designed to meet the needs of individuals who are owners/operators of small businesses or those who are con sidering establishing a small business. These workshops will be offered in two locations. On Thursday evenings from 7-9, Sandhills Com munity College will host classes in Room 134 of the Kennedy Building. The registration fee is $10 for the four sessions which begin on August 9 and conclude on August 30. On Tuesday mornings from 7:30-9:00, the Sheraton Inn will host the four workshops. The registration fee for the morning sessions will be S2S and will in clude a continental breakfast. These sessions begin on August 7 and end on August 28.
