Mitchell, Lewis Speak At Fair The Gates County Agricultural and Industrial Fair was held at the Gates Training School, Sun bury, on November 29. Although it was not attended largely by farmers, it was considered a good start after a period of three years. Interesting addresses were made by J. W. Mitchell, U. S. field agent and J. W. Lewis, director of Trades and Industries at Hampton Institute, Va. Both speakers urged the farmers and young people to make the best of every opportunity and take a full share in helping to develop the resources which are at hand. The young people were especi ally urged to prepare themselves for the task which will lie ahead of them in the future. Hobbsville Club Reports Among the interesting events at the fair was a report made by the • Hobbsville 4-H club. The report follows. “We have an en rollment of 22 members. We selected ‘Improvement of Health Conditions in our Community’ for 1945. During this year two new pit toilets were built; sev eral repaired.
