Mr. Frank Foster Daves, aged 23 years, son of the late Prof. Edward Graham Dave, died last night at his home, 2010 Maryland avo., of appendicitis. He was taken ill last Friday, and Sunday an operation was performed, which proved un successful. The funeral will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Grace Episcopal Church. The remains will then be taken to Bos ton, Mass., and interred in the fam ily lot at Mt. Auburn Cemetery -Mr. Davei was studying to be a practical machinist at one of the huge foundries in this city. He as educated at Marston's School and went from there to Lehigh University, lie was a member of Company F. Fifth Regiment, and was very popular in the regiment. Bobo went back to his stable where he stavecU about 15 minutes and thou came out and went to grand stand where Wash ington was. I heard Jen Davis say 'don't let those men fight saw Washington hit Bobo with hi 8st and then Bobo hit Washington. and there was blood on Bobo's nioutl where he was hit. I heard the pistol ind a voice say, 'I am Ehot.' Th( voice was Washington's, and the-i ere two more 6hots and Washing ton ran 15 or 20 yards when ho fel ind laid there until some one camt ind took him away." Mr. Matt Manly testified, "I wat itanding by the inner railing of tht track when I heard a shot fired. turned and saw a man running fron Tehind the stables with a pi'tol ii ilia hand. I jumped over the rai ind when I got to the man he wa Iready pinioned. I did not seo tht difficulty before the shooting. 1 heard Bobo say, ' I am not going to let no man beat me. Bray testified, "I wat standing by the rail on the field side when I heard the pistol shot over by the stables. I jumped over the rail and went towards the stables. Saw some one run out bleeding at the mouth and tbe prisoner right be hind him and saw him fire again twice at him. I caught the priso ner by the collar and said, 'don't ihoot any more. Bobo was bleed ng at tho month and said, 'tha1 nan came into my stable aud struck me in the mouth.' I saw the man on tus ground about dead. It was a rerv short time between the shots." Mr. J. R. Cromwell testified, "1 was about forty yards from the stand when I beard a shot fired and saw Washington run frera tbe pas age, bleeding at the mouth and mmediately after, about ten feel behind, Bobo followed and fired at him, and Washington ran a short distance, turned back and fell down, It was about half a minute between first and second shots and about two seconds between tbe second and third shots." Mr. R. P. Williams testified, "I was in the Judges stand when 1 beard the pistol shot and saw Wash ington ran out panned by Bobo and saw Bobo fir about 15 feet to- hind him.
