An ordinance to regnlate the sale of vegetables abd fruits within the cor porate limits of the City of New York. The Mayor, Aldermen and Commonalty do ordain as follows: Seotion 1. No person shall sell, offer or expose for sale any vegetables or fruits in barrels, baskets, boxes, crates or bam within the corporate limits or tbe City of New York, exoept tbe -eight ol the contents ol suob barrel basket, box, crate or bag shall be as follows bee. 2. Every barrel of spiancb shall contain not less than forty pounda; every barrel of sprouts shall contain not less than fifty pounds; every bushel of potatoes shall contain sixty pounds; every bushel ol turnips, carrots, pars nips or beets shall contain fifty pounds; every boehel of sweet potatoes or onions shall oonisio fifty five pounds; every bushel of tomatoes shall contain eixtt pounds; every bag of string or wax brans ahull oontam not less tban forty pounds; every bag of cranberry or lim beana or green peae shall contain not less than fi'ty pounds; every barrni ol ppieaacd pears shall contain not le han one hundred and third -five ouods, and evert basket of peaubte not lees than twenty five pounds Dec 8.
