Mrs. Powers And Miss Watson Honored With “Going Away” Party On Tuesday evening, March 13 neighbors gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander Sou therland on Main Street to en joy a covered dish supper honor ing Mrs. James Alderman Pow ers and Miss Martha Watson who were leaving Wallace to return to their old home in Riverton, .near Wagram. The home was thrown en suite and decorated with arrangement of spring flowers. Small tables centered with Easter baskets were placed in the living room and dining room. Upon their arrival, the honor guests were met by Mr. and Mrs. Southerland and then greeted by their other neighbors. Mrs. Pow ers and Miss Watson were pres ented lovely corsages. The dining table was covered with good things to eat and all enjoyed an evening of fellowship together. At the close of the evening Mrs. Powers and Miss Watson were given a book of remem brance with the signatures of the guests present. Wallace Woman*s Club Has Monthly Meeting The Wallace Woman’s Club met at the Community Building, Thursday evening, March 15. Mrs. D. L. Wells, Jr. president, presided oyer the business ses sion. A committee of Mesdames Alexander Southerland, Bill Hus sey, J. F. Branyon, Alvin Thom pson and Wayne Jordan was des ignated to aid in the annual Jted Cross Drive.
