Early Hog Marketing
Will Bring Higher Prices
Hog raisers of this area who
can market their hogs during the
next two months will get higher
prices than they will in the fall,
predicts R. M. Williams, county
agent
The state crop reporting service
has indicated that the spring pig
population was the second largest
on record, said Mr. Williams. Pigs
now being prepared (or market in
the state total over a million head,
which is nine per cent above last
spring's crop of pigs, he said.
With a pig crop increaae com
ing up this (all the aupply will
be able to meet the demand and
therefore prices will be lower in
the (all than during the next two
months.
