Y., will arrive to morrow to spend the holidays with their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Chatlos, and son, Dean Jr. Billy Wade arrived home this week from Presbyterian Junior col lege, Maxton, and is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Wade, Wildwood. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Holt and daughter, Peggy, left Wednesday for Biloxi, Miss., where they will spend Christmas with the Holts’ daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne King, and their new baby. Jeff Faucette of this city is spending the holidays in Mexico City and Acapulco, Mexico, as the guest of Miss Kay Rodriguez and her family. Both Jeff and Kay arc students at East Carolina col lege, Greenville. Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Davis of Kinston will arrive tomorrow after noon to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman K. Willis. The Misses Carolyn and Mabel Laine arrived Friday from Golds boro to visit their mother, Mrs. O. K. Laine. They plan to return to Goldsboro later this week to visit Mrs. Laine’s Sister and brother-in law, Dr. and Mrs. F. D. Poole. Mr. and Mrs. Perry M. Taylor III of Norfolk, Va., are here for a holiday visit with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Taylor Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Roberts. Dr. and Mrs. Sam Barnes and sons, Chapel Hill, came yesterday and are visiting her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ben Royal. Mrs. Bill Taylor and Billy Tay lor of Durham came yesterday to visit Billy’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Perry Taylor Jr., and attend the wedding of his brother, Arthur, and Miss Mary Smith. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Piner left Tuesday for Miami, Fla., to visit relatives and friends through the holidays. Mr. Bill Purcell, stationed in Norfolk, Va., with the Coast Guard, has arrived to spend Christmas with Mrs. Purcell and their baby daughter. Miss Jean Bowles of Washing ton, D. C., is expected home to day to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Bowles. Mr. and Mrs. Duffy Lee Paul and son, Gary, of Raleigh spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Ver non Paul, his parents. Judge and Mrs. Luther Hamil ton have gone to the Florida Keys to spend the holidays visiting their daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Vickers, and family. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coward and son, Jimmy, of Cove City visited Mrs. Mary Coward Sunday. Mrs. Walter Kidd left last week for Durham to visit her niece, pro fessor Frances Folsom, before go ing to Penns Grove, Pa., to spend the Christmas holidays. Miss Virginia Morris, a student at Baptist hospital school of nurs ing, Winston-Salem, and Miss Eve lyn Morris, a student at Woman’s college, Greensboro, have arrived home for the holidays. Their fa ther, Dr. John Morris, went for them Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Randy Sisson and daughter, Joy, of Washington, D. C., will arrive Friday to visit Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Russell and fam ily during the holidays. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Reid are spending Christmas in Salisbury with Mr. Reid’s daughter and son in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Thom as, and their sons, Walt and Jeff. Miss Linda Lockhart of Wash ington, D. C., will arrive Friday night to spend Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Lock hart, and brother, Mack. Miss Kay Willis, who attends a business college in Wilmington, is spending the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Grady Wil lis. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Luther Simmons over the Christmas holi days are Mr. Otis Simmons and daughters, Phyllis and Susan, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Webb Jr., all of^Milford, Del.- - Mr. and Mrs. Harold Olsen and children, Billy and Donna, of Kins ton spent a few days with their parents, the K. W. Olsens, last week. Miss Cecelia Perry of Wilming ton, Del., will arrive Saturday for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Perry. School Faculty, Guests Attend Party in Library The faculty of Morehead City school, their husbands and wives and retired faculty members were entertained at the annual Christ mas party for teachers Monday afternoon in the high school li brary. The library was beautifully dec orated in the holiday motif with lighted candles providing illumi nation. The elementary teachers, with Mrs. Sarah Willis and Mrs. Evelyn Morton as co-chairmen, were hosts. Miss Hortense Boomer gave a Christmas reading and Mr. R. L. Fritz presented gifts to Mr. Len vVood Lee, principal, Mrs. Gracie Garner, the school secretary, and to the custodial staff. Refreshments o f sandwiches, cookies, cakes, nuts, candies and punch were served. The food was prepared by the home economics students under the direction of Mrs. Rosemary Lockard. Miss Kemp Speaks At Department Meeting Miss Renee Kemp was guest speaker at the Literary and Art Department meeting Wednesday evening at the civic center. Miss Kemp, a member of the Morehead City high school faculty, reviewed the life of Robert Frost and gave several of his poems. Mrs. James Webb, chairman, presided. Punch, nuts, and cakes decorated with wreaths and *poin settias were served by Mrs. Louis Norris, Mrs. E. A. Council, Mrs. Harvey Hamilton Sr., Mrs. George McNeill and Mrs. M. T. Mills. Mrs. Wallace Entertains Bridge Club Last Week Mrs. Jimmy Wallace entertained her bridge club last week at her home. Mrs. John Gainey was a guest of the club. Potato chips and soft drinks were served during play and chocolate pie topped with whipped cream was served with coffee at the con clusion. Mrs. Dave Willis won high score, Mrs. W. J. Cherry was second high and Mrs. Robert Freeman was low. The club will not meet again until after New Year’s, when Mrs. Freeman will be hostess. Piano Recital Presented At Camp Glenn Friday Piano students of Mrs. Robert K. Meadows gave a recital Friday afternoon at Camp Glenn school library. After the recital Mrs. Meadows served punch and cook ies. Students taking part were Jane Mader, Robbie Mader, Carol Gibbs, Mary Mader, Sharon Sykes, Re becca McCabe, Betty Lou Seamon, Edith Maye Davis, Connie Willis, Nancy Bittner and Kim Brady. Emeritus Club Honors Ladies at Dinner Party The Emeritus club had its an nual ladies night Christmas party Monday evening at Rex restaurant. Mr. and Mrs. Grayden Paul gave the program and led the group in singing carols. Dr. E. P. Spence, president, wel comed the guests and new mem bers. Corsages were presented the ladies. Dinner was enjoyed by more than 50 guests. The production of television sets in the United States jumped from 10,000 in 1946 to 7 V4 million in 1050. DICKINSON Funeral services for Henry Ed ward Dickinson, 67, of Morehead City were conducted at 3 p.m. Wed nesday from the chapel of George W. Dill and Sons by the Rev. John Biddle, pastor of Parkview Bap tist church. Interment was in the Live Oak Grove Christian church cemetery, Russells Creek. Mr. Dickinson was found dead at his home Monday morning. Cor oner W. D. Munden said death, from natural causes, probably oc curred on Sunday. Surviving are one son, William A. Dickinson, and one daughter, Mrs. Vernon Harvey, both of Bal timore, Md. The rural fire truck of the Beau fort Fire department was sent out Tuesday afternoon to extinguish a woods fire at Bettie. The alarm was received at 12:50.
