I base my .qualifications on my record as a teacher in the Yancey County Schools for six years and my ser vice in the Army of the United States for forty-four months as an Infantry soldier, for which I volunteered my service as a Private and was released a Commission ed Officer. I offer my candidacy without having made any promises, agreements or contracts with any individual or group of individuals. If nominated, and elected, I promise to give the peo ple - of-Yancey County the full protection of a constant and vigorous enforcement of the law.
