Stamey is in Bilt more hospital for treat ment. Mr. and Mrs. J. Bar nette visited relatives' and friends in Asheville during the week end. Mark Bennett was a bus iness visitor to Raleigh last week. Mr. and Mrs. Norris Hoyle were called here Fri day because of the passing of Mrs. Hoyle’s father. ~ T. T. Anglin, Margaret and Jack 'Anglin of Nebo carnet to Burnsville Satur day because of the passing of Mr. Anglin’s brother. Mr. and Mrs. Amey Fox were home for the week end from Asheville. * Mr. and Mrs. Dawson Briggs visited relatives in Morganton and Valdese on Sunday. Barbara Higgins was home for the week end from Cullowhee. *. Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Fen der are now residing in Washington, D. C. where they are employed. Mrs. C. P. Rogers, Jr., is in Baltimore, Md., because of the condition of her fa ther who is in a hospital there. Lucille Chase will be home this week end from the University of N. C., Chapel Hill for spring holi days. ! Laughrun re turned this week from For est City, Ark., where she has been visiting her son, Dr. Gus Laughrun. He ac companied her here and plans to return today to Arkansas. L. V.
