THURSDAY, JANUARY 4, 1951 ! Down Main Street i : Mrs. Minnie Warrick of Green Mountain was the guest of Mrs. G. D Bailey of Burnsville and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Bailey of Jacks Creek this week. Doctors Van and ’ Sibyl Bennett spent the week end with relatives here. They were returning to Philadelphia from a week’s visit in Florida 1 . Mrs. Claude Peterson and Miss Billie Jean Ram sey were honored by a birthday dinner at the home of Mrs. Claude Pet erson Sunday evening. The guests were Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Pollard, Mr. and Mrs Ferrill McCurry |and son, Mrs Clyde Anglin, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown and Mr. and Mrs Fred Bailey and children. Mr. and Mrs- Carroll Rogers have moved to their new home in Spruce Pine. Mr. and Mrs. James Timony will move into the Rogers house. Mr. Timony is with Duplan Corpora tion. Mrs. Mollie Bostain of Spruce Pine was in Burns ville this week. Mr. and Mrs. D, D. Bag gett and daughter of Wil mington, N. C. visited Mrs Baggett’s parent’s Mr. and Mrs. George Brown, dur ing the holidays. Mr. Bag gett is assistant county agent of New Hanover county. He was formerly assistant county agent of Yancey County. Mr, and Mrs, enger’s children ares on the sick list, also Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Robertson’s son. Blain Butner entered the Baptist Hospital, Win ston-Salem, this week. She is a member of the Sigma Omega Sororiety, Sec. and Treas. of Pan j Hellenic Council and Sec. of the Alpha Lambda chapter of the Gamma Theta Epsilan Fraternity.
