OBITUARIES * MISS BESSIS HOWELL Funeral services for Miss Bessie Howell, 79. of Burns ville EFD 2, who died Satur day in a Boone nursing home following a long illness, were held Monday in Young’s Chapel Baptist Church, of which she was a member. The Revs. George Gouge and Jeff Willis officiated and burial was in Rebel’s Creek Cemetery. Miss Howell was a daugh ter of the late Madison and Carolyn Washburn Howell. Surviving are a brother, Troy Howell of Newdale; and a number of nieces and nephews. Winchester, District Officer, in the Courthouse with the County Service Officer at Burnsville, N. C. on Thurs day, October 28, 1965 from 11:00 a. m. to 4:00 p. m. and in the Courthouse with the County Service Officer at Bakersville, N. C. on Friday, October 29, 1965 from 8:30 a. m. to 2:30 p. m. to assist with veterans and their de pendents.
