June Murphy Hedlund, of San Diego, California, is visiting her sisters, Mrs. Nell Kaulf and Mrs. Lee Boone in Burnsville; also her mother ,Ms. Myrtle Murphy at Brentwo o d Rehabilitation Center and Mrs. Catherine Davis in Asheville. * Miss Annie Hassell made a business trip to Newport last week. * Mrs. Gus Peterson is home from Brentwood Nursing Home in Asheville where she las been undergoing treatment for a broken hip. * Mr. Rick Bacon is home on leave from the Army where he has been stationed in Italy. His wife Barbara was with him un til three months ago when she returned home. After a months visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ned Bacon, he will be stationed in San Antonio,Texa& * Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Peter son of Boone are visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Pe terson. * Mr. Gary Ray, student at ASU at Boone, N.C. , visited his parents, Mr. and Mrsjimes Ray, over the weekend. * Mrs. Nell Bennett is home after visiting her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Price, for the last 2 months in Greenville, S.C. Mrs. O. K. Masters, had returned to her home here after living with her son dm - ing the winter months in John son City, Tenn., was rushed back to the hospital there af ter becoming ill. * Mrs. Lester Heavener and Miss Betty Hensley of Ashe - ville were the weekend guests of their sisters, Misses Willie Mott and Sarah Hensley and Mrs. Peg Miller and daughters * Congratulations to Miss Mary Hess, Jeannie Ray,Rose mary Kampf and Mitsi Pres - nell for winning top honors in the Fine Arts Festival of Ashe ville District on Sat. March 7. * Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Westall hare as their horse guest Mrs. Ruth McSorley of Navato, Ca lifornia. * Miss Faye Letterman, stu - dent at Mars Hill Collqp spent the weekend with her Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Lettemm * Miss Hope Buck, District Representative of the Ameri - can Red Cross with headquar - ten in Atlanta, Ga. ,has been visiting her mother, Mrs, Pearl Buck in Maid Mtn. Another daughter, Mn. George Blake and family of Duncan, S.C . were weekend visitors. * Mrs. C. R.
