They all plan to spend a few weeks in these wonderful mountains, ftfv *•* Mr. and Mrs. Robert Glori ous and small daughter, Allison, of Miami recently spent a few days with Mrs. Neva Renaldo. It’s been 17 years since Bob spent a few weeks in these mountains-and he is still captivated with their magnifi cence. ... Many of you folks will remember (Hassie) Mrs. Ed Comfort. It is with saddened heart that I report she was JULY 11, 1974 called to her final resting place on June 19. Though they left our community quite some years ago, and occasionally visited at Story Book Home, we still think of them as belonging here. Cattail mourns the a truly fine lady. ... The Ritter family have arrived from Silver Springs, Florida and hope to spend most of the summer at their lovely summer home. ... Dogwood Cottage has as its guests this week the O’Kelly family. Jim, who recently graduated from Purdue, is enroute to his first assignment ! in Wisconsin. The rest of the family plan a week at Jekyll Island before returning to Miami. Nancy O’Kelly had as her guest for the 4th of July weekend, Mr. Terry Graham of West Palm Beach. Nancy had stars in her eyes while he was here. ... Cold Spring Lane is alive with activity. The Rick Hubers have arrived with their teen agers. Also the Cullems and the Kennys. Plenty of beautiful young people over there right i now. ... The home of Mary Melton was the meeting place this week for the Burnsville Canasta group. Since it was Fredricka Sargent’s birthday, we sort of enlarged the affair and had. thirty six guests in attendance. The afternoon was spent playing various card games-for re freshments, a large birthday cake decorated with brown eyed susans was served along with ice cream and coffee. Fredricka was surprised with a handker chief shower. It was a fun afternoon. Mary Melton and Neva Renaldo were hostesses. Joe Baden had as his guest recently, Anne Davison of Wilmington, Delaware. Anne is spending most of the summer working at Camp Greystone, near Hendersonville. *•* Mrs. Carl Gronquist has as her guests this week the A1 Zinnors of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida with their children, Frankie and Nancy. *** The Jerry Rays of Greens boro also managed a quick 4th of July visit with Grandma Gronquist. *** Don’t forget our Bingo Games every Wednesday at the Community Hall. Ronnie and his aunt, Mrs. Ruth Glass, who is a graduate student at ASU, were guests of Mr. and Mrs.iKermit Hunter, author of the butdoor drama. Mr. Hunter not only wrote “Horn in the West” and “Unto These Hills”, but 28 other outdoor dramas. He has written more dramas for outside production than any other American playwright. • * Mr. and Mrs. Bill Price and children of Greenville, S.C. are visiting Mrs. Price’s mother, Mrs. W. L. Bennett. • Mr. and Mrs. James Hahne of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bingham. Sam Irving, Jr. as principal speaker. The late Judge J. Bis Ray, father of Mrs. Westall and Mrs. Ray, was one of the original founders of the college. * Mr. and Mrs. Lee Boone spent the July 4th holiday with Mrs. Boone’s sister, Mrs. G. W.
