The Fair is sponsored by the Parents Club headed by Allen McMurry, President. The Fair will feature reasonably priced books and toys for children and there will also be available many handmade items and books for adults. A door prize will be given to some lucky person during the fair. All proceeds will go towards tiie purchase of needed items for the non-profit school. The pre-school is entirely funded by the community, receiving no state or federal funds. The fair offers an opportunity for the public to \iew the school facilities as well as shop for the Christmas season. He was employed by Harris Mining Company in Spruce Pine for the past 14 years. Surviving are the wife, Bessie Hughes Butler; two sons, Joe Lee Butler of Madison, N.C. and Robert Edward Butler of the home; two half-sisters. Miss Ruby Cox and Miss Hilda Cox of Madison, N.C.; two half brothers, James Cox of Madison and Charlie Cox of Chicago, Illinois; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. David Briggs officiated and burial was in the Pete Young Cemetery. MOLLIE HOWELL Mrs. Mollie Howell, 81, of Burnsville, died in an Ashe ville Nursing Home Saturday morning after a long illness. She was the widow of Carson Howell who died in 1930. Surviving are five sons, Frank and Carson Howell of Monroe, Michigan, John Howell of Richmond, Va., Max Howell of Atlanta, Ga. and Luther Howell of Johnson City, Tennessee; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Warner of Culver City, California; one brother, George Allen of San Diego, California. Funeral Services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Fred Harrell officiated and burial was in the Bailey Cemetery. GRACE BANKS DELLINGER Mrs. Grace Banks Dellin ger, 71, of 370 Fairview Road, Asheville died Friday after noon in an Asheville Hospital following a long illness. She was a native of Yancey County, the daughter of the late Plato and Mary Young Banks. She had lived in Asheville for the past 50 years and was a member of Reed Memorial Baptist Church in Biltmore. Surviving are a son', Charles Robert Dellinger Sr. of Houston, Texas; five sisters, Mrs. Mary Martha Davis of Del Ray Beach, Florida, Mrs. Frances Taylor and Mrs. Ruth Peake of Washington, D.C., Mrs. Nell Hensley and Mrs. Margaret Griffith of Burnsville; two brothers, Drate Banks of Fairfax, Va. and Wesley Banks of Landsdown, Mary land; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. Glenn Gunter, pastor of Reed Memorial Baptist Church officiated and burial was in the Dellinger Cemetery near Burnsville. Family Size Population per house hold in North Carolina, according to the 1970 cen sus, was 3.23 persons. The breakdown of tiie figures according to place of resi dence showed that urban dwellers have a slightly lower population per household than rural fam ilies. BRUCE RAMSEY Bruce Ramsey, 45, of Route 1, Fletcher, died unexpectedly Sunday evening at his home. He was a native of Yancey County, a Korean War veteran and a retired employee of Pan American Airways. Surviving are the wife, Earline Phillips Ramsey; five daughters, Mrs. Jeff Huntley of Arden, Mrs. Michael Lewis of Fletcher, and Misses Debora, Cathy and Shelly Ramsey of the home; three sons, Carmon Bruce, David and Michael Ramsey, all of the home; the mother, Mrs. Addie Hensley Ramsey of Burnsville; two brothers, Bernie Ramsey of Burnsville and Bryan Ramsey of New port News, Va. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bee Log Baptist Church. Revs. Niram Philips and Albert Edwards officiated and burial was in the Watts Cemetery.
