He was a member •of Ball Road Baptist Church, • and a veteran of World War s'. Surviving are sons, Earl 'S., Marion R. and David E. Whitson of Knoxville, and ■.Steven D. Whitson of Kings port; daughter, Mrs. Linda M. Sassman of Memphis; a granddaughter, Angela Lynn . Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 17, at Big Creek Baptist Church. Rev. Lindy Jones and Rev. Dewey tooper officiated. Interment whs in Hughes Cemetery. MYRTLE BAILEY Miss Myrtle Bailey, 67, of Higgins, Route 4, Burnsville died unexpectedly Sunday morning at her home. She is survived by three sisters, Miss Hazel Bailey of the home, Mr. Isie Cannon of Burnsville and Mrs. Floyd Franklin of Mars Hill; two brothers, Paul Biley of John son City, Tenn. and Levi Bailey of Route 4, Burnsville. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home. Rev. .Richard Buchanan officiated and bur ial was in the, Bailey Family Cemetery. PATRICIA T. LOHBILLER Mrs. Patricia Tipton Loh biller died Sunday, January 19 in Willistcn, Florida. She was a native of Burnsville, the daughter of the late Rev. Samuel Tipton and Mary Fox Tipton, and had been residing in Florida for several years. Surviving are a daughter, - Mrs. Peggy Austin of Indian Harbor Beach, Florida; three sons, Frank Horton of Burns ville, Howard Horton of Sarasota, Florida and Wayne Horton of Las Vegas, Nevada. Two sisters, Mrs. Luther Ayers of Burnsville and Mrs. Reba Olin Stanton of Willis ton, Florida; ten grandchild ren and two great grandchild ren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Holcombe Brothers Funeral Home and burial will be ip the Tipton Plot in McCracken Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home.
