Photo by Jody Higgins Program On '‘Grief ’ Seminar Slated A Continuing Education Seminar will be held on Monday, May 9, from 7 to 10 p.m. on “The Minister and Grief.” The four funeral homes of the Tri-County area: Henline-Hughes, Bakersville; Holcombe, Burnsville; Reins- Sturdivant, Newland; Webb, Spruce Pine; and the Mayland Ministerial Alliance are spon soring the seminar for the Ministers, Doctors, Nurses, and Funeral Home Personnel of the Tri-County area. The clergy of all faiths, doctors, and nurses are invited to attend this informative and helpful program. A filmstrip will be shown of a couple involved in the death of their child and their feelings. Another special guest will be Dr. Robert Bailey, Pastor of First Baptist Church, Concord, and author of the book, “The Minister And Grief.” The purpose of the seminar is to better under stand the role of each professional in the grief process and how each profes sional can help the person or persons involved in bereave ment. An invitation is extended to all clergy, nurses, and doctors, in Avery, Mitchell, and Yancey County. The seminar is accredited by the N.C. State Board of Mortuary Science and is open to all funeral home personnel.
