Road Jobs Up For Bids The State Highway Commission has released details of 34 road projects in 50 counties containing 668 miles on which it plans to ask for bids this month. The announcement said that bids on the projects will be opened on March 23 in the Auditorium of the State Highway of the State Highway Commission Building at 10 a jn. to determine the low bidders. Included among the projects is 20.65 miles of concrete binder, surface and bituminous seal coat for resurfacing six sections of primary roads in Clay and Cherokee counties. Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Minor attended the Parent's Day activities at Sanford University in Birmingham over the weekend where he is a student. Clifton Gives Scissors To Hospital District Memorial Hospital of Andrews has received a one year supply of scissors from Clifton Precision Plant of Murphy. The scissors will be used in the operating room, delivery room and the emergency rooms.. They are small and are especially useful for removing sutures and doing delicate dressings.
