__Christmas music was played softly as members of the Methodist Fellowship Circle assem bled at the home of Mrs. Nolan Jones Monday evening for their Christmas meeting and party. A piano prelude was presented by Mrs. R. N. Knight after which Miss Jackie Jones, who was co-hostess with Mrs. Jones, presented the pro gram, “To Those Who Serve”. She was assisted by Mrs. Jones; also Mrs. C. L .Morgan, Mrs. Robert Britt, Mrs. Roger Mallard and Miss Nell Jones. Several carols were sung and Miss Jones gave the clos ing prayer. Business was omitted and gifts were exchanged, revealing the names of each members heart sister for the year. Names were drawn for the coming year. Refreshments of fruit cake topped with whipped cream, riuts and cof fee were served: Others present were Mesdames Odis Jones, Esley Jones (who presided), Leroy Mea dows, Delbert Meadows, Starling Pelletier, Jere Wl. Pelletier, F. H. Pruitt, Robert Foy and Leonard Thompson. Maysvffle WSCS Has Eventfull Meeting A prelude of Christmas organ music was presented by Mrs. Knight at the Tuesday, evening meeting of the WSCS. The program followed. An inspiring story in scriptures, song and poems, told of the birth of Christ. Mrs. A. H. McDaniel, leader, read scriptures, Robert Mat tocks presented the songs, accom panied by Mrs. R. N. Knight at the organ and poems were given by Rev. R. N. Knight, Mrs. Leonard Thompson, Miss Jackie Jones, Miss Nell Jones and Mrs. F. H. Pruitt. Two hymns were sung. Prayer was offered by Mrs. A. H. McDaniel and the group stood for the bene diction by Rev. Knight. Mrs. C. L. Morgan presided over the business session at which time the ladies planned to serve refresh ments to the Junior Choir Monday evening December 23 after they re turn from carolling. The ladies welcomed Sub District leader from Jacksonville, Mrs. L. D. Hayman who spoke and remind ed of important dates concerning upcoming meetings. Also mentioned were coupons that are given to the Methodist Home for Children. Sun shine gifts were brought for shut ins. After closing with the purpose, Mrs. J. W. Pelletier and Mrs. G. S. Pelletier served refreshments. In addition to those mentioned, present ■ were Mesdames: I. F. House, IJenry Gerock, J. R. Pelle tier, Odis Jones, Esley Jones, No lan Jones, Roger Mallard, C. C. Dameron and visitors Mrs. Gladys Pearson and Mrs. Kitty Nichols, who accompanied Mrs. Hayman from Jacksonville.
