Miss Martha Boatwright, ac companied by Misses Jane and Anne Richardson of Reidsville, was here Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Forth of Durham spent the week-end with Mrs. Forth’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. I. G. Stephens. Miss Grace Osborne Clayton,. student at Greensboro College, was with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. G. Clayton, for the week end. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Dickens had as week-end guests, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Maynor and son of ; Richmond, Va. and Miss Margar et Daniel of Lexington. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Burke re turned from Spencer, where they visited a few days. Mr. Burke’s 1 parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. L. Burke, came back with them for a week's visit. Cliff R. Mr. and Mrs. Bickford Long of Winston-Salem spent Sunday here with Mr. Long’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Long. Mrs. Clyde Swartz and son, Don, Mrs. W. E. Stewart and daughter, Barbara Jane, spent Friday in Durham. Ned Thomas of Wake Forest College, was with his mother, Mrs. G. W. Thomas, during the week-end. Miss Huldah Gentry spent the week-end in Raleigh visiting her sister, Mrs. Paul Latham and Mr. Latham. Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Stewart and son, Merial Allen, spent Sunday in Richmond, Va. A. M. Long returned home Monday after spending a week in McPherson hospital. His friends will be glad to know he is much improved. Miss Chandler And Mr. Mooney Wed Anncun:tmtnt is being made today of the marriage of Miss Ruth Anna Chandler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Chandler, of Timberlake, tc Ertha Gentry Mooney, son of W. E. Mooney and the late Mrs. Mooney, of the same place, on Saturday, November 30, at Halifax, Va., at the residence of the officiating minister, the Rev. Ralph Bellwood, of the Methodist church. The impressive ring ceremony was used and the vows were wit nesses by Miss Dora Rhew and Herman H. Garrett, Jr., cousins of the bridegroom. For her nuptials the bride wore a gray and wine costume. Mrs. Mooney is a graduate of Mt. Tirzah high school and her husband attended Roxboro high school. Mr. Mooney is a well known young farmer and Mrs. Mooney is connected with Col lins and Aikman corporation, Ca- Vel. Thursday', while other sessions are scheduled for 7:30 Thursday evening and 3 Friday morning. The final session v.il close at noon Friday with a luncheon of all tax supervisors and their guests.
