Violet Tea Mrs. Sidney Croy entertained at her home on Eastwood avenue, Grovemont, with an African Violet Tea between 5:30 and 7:00 Friday afternoon, Feb. 15. Mrs. Croy has a hobby of raising African violets and donated many of them to be sold for the benefit of the Wom an’s Society of Christian Service treasury. Mrs. C. D. Brown and Miss Anne Brown were in charge of the sale of the violets. The table was decorated -with Val entine streamers extending from the center candles to the four corners. They were made by Mrs. Croy's seventh graders and were printed with these words, “If of Me you do not think, my heart will ' Shrink and Shrink and Shrink.” The hearts grew smaller as they extended. Miss Marion Norman served the two lovely homemade heart cakes and Mrs. Sidney Davis presided at the punch bowl."
