On Christmas Day, my husband and I left by car for Flint, Mich., where he is employed by Chevro let Motor Division of General Mo tors Corporation. We took high way 23 and passed through parts of Tennessee, Virginia, West Vir ginia, Kentucky. Ohio, and Mich igan. As we were traveling along I saw many interesting sights. I was informed that it was built during slavery days by slaves. 1 also passed through Renfro Valley and then saw Berea college where my husband attend ed. The large blue grass farms where, race horses are raised were very beautiful. In Ohio the large cities with tall buildings stand out in my memory. Before we reached Flint, we went through Ann Arbor, a very large and well known medical center. Naturally, I was more interested in Flint due to the fact that my husband and son, Gary, are employed in ] one of its large auto plants which they showed me.
