Reidsville, July 23.—Fifty farmers from the eastern end of Rocking ham county came to the chamber of commerce office here today and asked Secretary Calhoun to use his efforts to secure government fi nancial aid for them as a result of their recent losses to crops by the terrific hail storms which have play ed havoc in many sections of this county during the past few days Secretary Calhoun appealed to Senators Simmons and Overman and Congressman Stedman.
