Deal Singers Draw Well. Also Large Crowd At St. Peters Memorial. Personals. (Special to The Star.) I'oluca, May 29.—One of the larg est crowds was present at St. Pet ers on last Sunday for memorial .hat has ever been there. The graves were all beautifully decorated with flowers. This one ends all of the memorials at the churches in this community. Most everybody enjoyed tne ueai singers at Knob creek last Sunday p. m. The church was so small that they were carried up to the school house where t here was not room to accommodate ali the people. Some stated that it was the largest crowd that, had ever been at Belwood school house Messrs. Bruce Walker, A. C. Cost ner. Wimmer of Splndale preached in the morning and Rev. Honeycutt of Cliffslde in the after noon. Rev. C. C. Matheny, a for mer pastor and Revs. Goode and Walker also former pastors were present. Several noted singers were present. Among them were Paul Gold, Mr. Allen, Lake Stroup and others. Mrs. Dee Bvars nnd Mrs. Crccy Humphries spent last Saturday night with Mr. A. Spangler Have New Son. i Special to The Star > Double Shoals, May 29.-—The farmers in this section are making fine progress with the cotton thin ning. A few more days will find them all through. Last Saturday and Sunday was regular monthly services at the Baptist church. The pastor, Rev. J. W. Suttle was back on the job, after several weeks sickness. A large crowd was present on Sunday p. m. at 8unday school and preaching services, the sermon was delivered from Mark 16 chapter 7th verse and was enjoyed by all. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Spangler are and Estelle Walker of Boiling Springs visited at Mr. Murlon Wal kers recently. the proud parents of a son, Samuel Dickson, named after his two grand fathers. "Mr. Leland Royster is back home from Boiling Springs junior college to spend the summer with his par ents, Mr. and Mrs. ff. C. Royster. Miss Vangie Peeler has returned home from college to spend the summer with her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Peeler. Mr. and Mrs. J. T.
