Gasoline War Is Over In Cherokee (Gaffney Ledger. > To the sorrow of customers, Gaff ney’s gasoline war is over. The re tail price of motor fuel will be ad vanced to 19.7 cents per gallon this morning, it was announced yester day. Following a "war” which started several weeks ago, gasoline was sold in Cherokee county at 13 cents per gallon, the lowest price in history. That included the state and federal taxes amounting to 7 cents. A few days ago the price was Jumped to 16 cents, and now consumers will begin paying the furl toll to John D.
