Reaves, Greene Vows Exchanged Dana Lcnoria Reaves and Chris topher Lee Greene were married Saturday, Aug. 26, in a 6 p.m. cere mony at the home of William and Zida Kiblcr of Shallottc. The Rev. Robert Hargrove officiated the dou ble ring ceremony. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vcrbic Greene of Candor. The bride is the daughter of Gail Moore Reaves of Shallottc. She was given in marrige by her mother and escorted by her brother in-law, Jim Roberts of Helen, Ga. The bride wore a formal gown of white satin with a scooped neckline, bodice and tapered sleeves appli qucd with rccmbroidcrcd lace, se quins and seed pearls and a full skirt that formed a cathedral train. The skirt was accented with lacc appliques. Bodice and skirt were edged with scallopcd lacc. Her elbow length veil ot illusion was attached to a headband with floral accents and a looped cluster of pearl beading. She carricd a cascading bouquet of Lady Di roses, spring rye, babies' breath and ivy. Her sister, Patty Roberts of Helen, Ga., was matron of honor. Another sister, Annette Reaves of Shallottc, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Adonica Alvar ado of New Mexico and LaDanc Faulk of Shallottc. The bride's cousins. Crystal Mo ore and Alex Moore of Shallottc, were flower girl and ring bearer, respectively. The bride's attendants wore pcach-colorcd tea length gowns with ivory lace and ivory acces sories and carricd nosegays of peach, white, pink and blue flowers. Chad McLcod of Shallottc was best man. Ushers were H.L. Hoimes of Shallotic, Douglas Greene of Candor, brother of the groom, and Jeff Baslow of Wilmington. Music was provided by Tim and Deborah Watson of Holdcn Beach. Vivian Thomas of Calabash direct ed the wedding. The foyer of the Kibler home was decorated with an arching can delabra, globe candles with floral sprays, a unity candle and a lace covered kneeling bench. Following the ceremony, a recep tion was held at the Kibler resi dence. Serving were Marsha Cai son. Rose Long, Doris Ward, Eliza beth Benton and LaDanc Schullz. The bride is a graduate of West Brunswick High School and is em ployed at Holmes Florist. The groom is a graduate of of East Montgomery High School in Can dor. He is employed by Holco De velopment. The bride is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Loftus of Ocean Isle Beach. The groom is the son of Paul and Virginia Carter of Ariton, Ala. The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Her maid of honor was Dr. Annabclle Cortes. The bride wore her mother's full length bridal gown of white lace with filled bodicc and long sleeves. Her mother wore the gown when she was married in 1958. The bride wore babies' breath and white rib bons in her hair. She carried an assortment of spring flowers. The groom chose Dr. Larry Wurtz as his best man. Music was provided by the Au burn University String Quartet A wedding reception was held at the Gazebo at Auburn University. The couplc will live in Houston, Texas, while they both complete work toward doctorate degrees at Auburn University. The bride received an undergrad uate degree in psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga. She earned a master's degree from Auburn University and is working toward a doctorate degree in clini cal psychology. She is presently completing her doctorate internship at the V.A. hospital in Houston. The groom has earned a bachelor of arts and master's degree at Auburn University and is working toward a doctorate in engineering and robotics. He is employed at Halliburton of Houstoji. Search Begins For Miss Brunswick 1 990 Cheryl Prcwitt, Miss Amcrica 1980, will serve as mistress of cere monies for the 1990 Miss Bruns wick County Scholarship Pageant. Applications arc now being ac cepted for the pageant, which will be staged Saturday, Nov. 18, at Hatch Auditorium on the grounds of the N.C. Baptist Assembly, Caswell Beach. Ms. Sauder was a top 10 finalist in the 1988 Miss America Pageant.
