Pugh, Parker Marry At Old Shallotte Baptist Sandra Dee Pugh and Randall Scott Parker were married Saturday, Aug. 12, at 6 p.m. in Old Shallottc Baptist Church, Grissettown. The Rev. Ivren B. Hughes officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur D. Wilson of Myrtle Beach, S.C. the groom is the son of Mrs. Bobbie H. Dillard of Shallottc and Glenn H. Parker of Grissettown. The bride was given in marrige by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a formal gown of ivory satin. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a sweetheart neck line and "poet" sleeves. Alencon lace with pearls and iridescent se quins accented the neckline, bodice and sleeves. The flowing skirt, fall ing from a basque waistline, was detailed at the back with a satin bow. Appliques, pearls and irides cents laced the skirt and cathedral train. She chose a pearl headband with a floral design enhanced with iri descent sequins and pearls, attached to a pouf of sheer illusion. The bride carried a traditional cascading arrangement of royal bouqet orchids and bridal white roses and English ivy. Ms. Patsy Jo Wilson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a formal gown of ice pink satin and matching satin pumps. The Titled bodice was accented with a draped neckline and pouffed sleeves that tapered at the wrists. She carried a cascade of Rueben lilies, pink sweetheart roses and English ivy. Ms. Sarah Amanda Parker of Shallouc, sisicr of the groom, was bridesmaid. J unior bridesmaids were Miss Lindy Lcc Pugh, daugh ter of the bride; and Miss Erica Mac Handy, cousin of the bride. They wore formal pink satin gowns iden tical to that of the maid of honor's and carried identical bouquets. Johnny L. Hardwick of North Myrtle Beach, S.C., served as best man. Groosmen were Woodrow W. Fordham Jr. of Winston-Salem; J. Lee Isbill of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and W. Gordon Grissett of Shallottc. Samuel Grant Wilson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., nephew of the bride, served as ring-bearer. The groom wore a formal black cutaway tuxedo with a white rose boutonnicrc. Groomsmen dressed identically, with pink rose bouton niercs. Honorary attendants were Mrs. Kathy Fordham, Mrs. Kathy Hard wick, Mrs. Jacqui Isbill and Mrs. Su/.anna Wilson. They carricd long stemmed red roses tied with stream ers. Wedding music was provided by Ms. Gigi S. Gore, soloist; and Mrs. Doris Redwine, organist. The wed ding was directed by Ms. Gee Gee S. Lewis, friend of the couple. Following the ceremony, a formal reception was held at the Sands Ocean Club in Myrde Beach, S.C. The groom is owner of Ocean way Auto Sales at Grisscttown. Sandra Dee Pugh Reactivated Bolivia Lions To Mark 40th Anniversary Lions and Lionesses from across Southeastern North Carolina arc ex pected to help a "rebom" Bolivia Lions Club celebrate its 40th anni versary Sept. 22. The women of Bethel United Methodist Church in Bolivia will cater the club's 7:30 p.m. dinner meeting at the Public Assembly Building at the county government centcr in Bolivia. Wallace West of Wilmington, a longtime Lion with International service and retired New Hanover High School principal, returns as guest speaker. He spoke at the club's charter night on Sept. 21, 1949. "We had not turned in our char ter, but we were out of business," said Bolivia Mayor and Lion Ina Mae Mintz. But that has changed. Since June the group has doubled its active membership to approxi mately 21. The Bolivia Lions Club was char tered through the efforts of Wil mington Lions, and they also helped with the reorganization effort, she noted. They wore identical tea length floral print dresses in del phinium blue and pink with magen ta shoes. They carried stems of the same types of flowers that com prised the bridal bouquet. The groom chose Michael Row land as his best man. Ushers were Mark McDavid, Kevin Rowland and Mark Calder. A reception at the Holiday Inn, Old Town, followed the ceremony. The bride is a graduate of Chantilly High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is employed with Bell Atlantic Mobile Systems.
