HERE COMES Shallotte Parade Shalloltc will formally wclcomc the holiday sea son Saturday morning when the town sponsors its an nual Christinas Parade. Fire trucks, beauty queens, church groups, saddle clubs and local businesses arc among this year's 89 en tries Bands and other performing groups from West and North Brunswick High Schools will stmt their stuff along Main Street starting at 10 a.m. As always, Santa Claus will arrive at the end of the parade lineup on a Shallotte fire truck. The jolly elf will stop at Jones' department store after the parade to chat with local children about their Christmas lists. The N.D. Division of Environmental Health said the owner/operator of Mayfair Park did not properly sample or monitor water during May 1991 . Under the North Carolina Drinking Water Act the owner/operator of a public water system which has in curred a sampling or monitoring violation must publish information about that violation in a daily newspaper which serves the area within 90 days of the sampling failure.
