The Whiteston Home Demonstra
tion Club met at the' home of Mrs.
Leonidas Lane Thursday afternoon.
Due to the absence of the president,

Winslow presided over the meetine.
Miss Lucille Lane led the devotional,
after which the minutes of the last
meeting were read and approved.

for the April meeting, which will be

The Winfall Cedar Grove Adult
Missionary Society met at the par
sonage with Mrs. J. W. Dimmette as
hostess. Mrs. J. L. Nixon president,
presided Mrs J. L. DeLanev led the
devotional. A very interesting pro
gram was given by the program
committee.
Mrs. J. W. Dimmette was elected
delegate-at-large to the annual con
ference to be held in Durham. Mrs.
Ellis Miller was elected as delegate
to the Zone meeting to be held in
Hertford on March 17.
The Society will entertain the
Young People's Circle at the church
next month.
Mrs. J. W. Dimmette dismissed the
meeting.
(Hot chocolate and wafers were
served by the hostess.

William Morgan and Mrs. Ellie Rid
dick, of Hertford, spent Sunday in
Durham with Mrs. Byrd (formerly
