Mis3 ilildred Copeland And Clyde Jenkins Wed - In candlelight ceremony the mar- r riage of Miss Mildred Constance Copeland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F, M. Copeland of Belvidere and Clyde Wilson Jenkins, son of the late Mr. and ,-Mrs. A.. T. Jenkins of Potecasi, was solemn jted on Sunday, December 23, at the home of the bride s parents. The; Rev. B. H. Millikan, pastor of the, bride, officiated. The living room was decorated with white gladioli and white candles Palms furnished a background of greenery for the wedding scene. Mrs. H. P. White at the piano ren dered a program of nuptial music prionto the ceremony and softly play ed Indian Love Call during the cere' mony. Miss Dorothy Davis of Sea' board sang "Because" and "I Love You Truly." The bride entered fhe living room with her father who gave her in marriage. She was attired in a pink beige gabardine suit and wore a cor sage of white orchids. Mrs. George Winslow of Norfolk, cousin of the bride, was the matron of honor. She wore an aqua wool dress with pink roses. The bridegroom was attended by Linwood Jenkins, cousin of the groom, as best man. The bride's mother wore a blue crepe dress with matching accessories and a corsage of red roses. Willard and Parker Copeland, brothers of the bride, lighted the candles. Miss Hilda Ruth Martin of Conway was mistress of ceremonies. Jack Jenkins, brother of the groom was usher. Immediately after the ceremony the couple left for a short wedding trip after which they will be at home in Potecasi. Mrs. Jenkins is a graduate of East Carolina Teachers College and for the past two years has been a member of the Woodland-Olney High School fac ulty. Following the wedding rehearsal on Saturday evening, the parents of the bride entertained at a cake cutting at their home. Tuesday evening, December 11, Mrs. Sam Taylor, Misses Dorothy Davis and Hilda Martin of Woodland, ' entertained for the bride with a bridge party. The bride was prese.it ed a silver tray. Frjday evening, December 14, the Home Economics Club of the Wood land High School honored the bride ' with a miscellaneous shower.
